How Does Your Website Get Listed in Google?
How Do I know if I have been Indexed?
All Search Engines use spider programs known as crawlers or robots. These scour the web, reading the website’s title, Meta tags and the content. This collection of all relevant website information (as per their algorithms) is then handed on to their indexing program.
Where there are embedded hyperlinks, those linked websites and pages are then scanned and also handed over to the indexing program.
The Google spider is called Googlebot and you can see it going to your website if you look at your web logs.
I can check if my website has been indexed by entering in Google toolbar,
site:http://www.MyDomainName.com
[A sample is, site:http://homebasedbusiness.adsense-making-money.com]
If my site has been indexed, it will appear in the resulting page search.
Alternatively,
if you have a Google account (if you do not have one, I suggest you sign up as soon as possible; go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/. It's easy and it's free!) And add your sites to their webmaster tools at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/dashboard
and then clicked one.

How Does Your Website Get Indexed?
There are essentially four ways in which Googlebot finds your website.
1. You submit your URL to Google by filling in the form at www.Google.com/addurl.html
2. When Google finds a link to your website from another site, especially one that is being indexed.

3. Sign up for the Google Webmaster Tools at https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/ and submit a site map that you can create there.
4. Using a 301 Redirect, informing the search engine that the content of your website has moved to a new location. This is a difficult procedure and beyond the capabilities of a beginner; for that matter an experienced webmaster will also find it somewhat tiresome! Best left alone to the specialist.
How I Got My Websites Indexed Under A Week.
I constructed 5 Basic One Page Websites with sub domains of my keywords.

http://InternetMarketingTips.Adsense-Making-Money.com
http://MakingMoneyOnline.Adsense-Making-Money.com

In each of these, I had a Master hyperlink to my Main Website
http://www.SuperValueBuys.com
and a sub hyperlink to my second website, the one that these sub domains belonged to:
http://www.Adsense-Making-Money.com
Furthermore,
at the very end of all these websites, I listed ALL my other websites
[A visit to one of the above five will reveal a lot; do scroll down to the very bottom]
Then I executed these 3 steps
Step 1. I visited Digg.com and wrote a small intro for each of the five websites.
Step 2. I added them all to the Webmasters Tools site.
Step 3. I executed my simple 'secret step', which took 5 minutes at the most.
I did NOT submit to Google
I did NOT use Adwords
I did NOT make a site map
This Step 3, a simple 'secret step' I knew guaranteed my Google indexing in less than one week.
This simple 'secret step' was my passport to being listed in Google's search results under my sub domain names.
This simple 'secret step' was a sure fire way to get my five websites indexed by Google.
Period.
I waited, checking every day with the Google attribute site:http://MyWebsiteName.com. using the Google Toolbar. Where MyWebsiteName was the domain name of my site (see sample below)

On the sixth day I came up trumps!
To my joy, ALL my five websites had been indexed!
AND I had created some more back links to my main websites,

A Major Bonus that I received was that even my obscure sites, such as
http://www.DiabeticsInfo.co.uk/

received their Google indexing too!
Hence, ALL my sub domains and domain name sites got indexed at the same time!
